Hydration Multiplier

How does Liquid I.V. work?

Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier is a non-GMO electrolyte drink that has been scientifically formulated to help restore electrolyte imbalance that occurs through performance, heat, travel and adventure.

What are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are minerals that ionize when dissolved in suitable substances such as water. These are essential nutrients like potassium that play a critical role in maintaining fluid balance & optimizing hydration.

What’s in Liquid I.V.?

Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier is a great-tasting non-GMO electrolyte drink mix that contains 5 essential vitamins such as Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Vitamins B6, B12 and C, and provides electrolytes to support hydration for performance, adventure and travel.

Why does Liquid I.V. contain sugar?

Sugar (glucose) is one of the key components in the science behind accelerated hydration. Liquid IV contains an optimal amount of sugars (combined with electrolytes) needed to help your body stay hydrated, as quickly and efficiently as possible.

And Liquid IV uses some of the purest forms of sugar, pure cane sugar and dextrose. Dextrose is a form of glucose, which is a naturally- occurring sugar found in the body and an important component of this hydrating formula.

  • In Addition, we have the optimal amount of naturally derived sugar (glucose- from cane sugar) that combines with the electrolytes, to act as fuel delivering energy and hydration efficiently.
  • Here is example of sugar content. An apple contains 19 grams of sugar, a 591ml Gatorade bottle contains 29 grams of sugar and our LIV stick serving in 500 ml has 11 grams of sugar.

Is Liquid I.V. an energy drink?

No. Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier does not have any caffeine. However, it does contain B vitamins, which are factors in energy metabolism.

Is Hydration Multiplier safe for kids?

Hydration Multiplier is not recommended for children under 14 years old. Please refer to the label on the package for more information.

Proper Hydration

What causes dehydration?

Dehydration is the loss of water and salts essential for normal body function. Dehydration occurs when the body loses more water than it takes in. Basic daily activities like breathing and walking cause the body to excrete water and can lead to transient dehydration.

How can I tell if I am adequately hydrated?

According to the Government of Canada’s recommendation for how to stay hydrated, checking your thirst level, urine colour and mood are all aspects of knowing if you are drinking enough liquid every day. Awareness of these factors are helpful to understand your fluid needs and to help stay rehydrated, especially with an active lifestyle or when travelling.

What is the importance of hydration?

The human body is comprised of roughly 60% water. Every single cell in the human body needs water to function. Losing just 2% of your body’s water can result in mild dehydration. Staying hydrated serves a wide range of roles in our bodies including helping to move nutrients through your body, removing waste through urine; controlling body temperature, and support keeping blood pressure normal; to name a few.

Are there any drinks that dehydrate you?

Beverages such as alcohol, coffee or caffeinated drinks, and soda may have a dehydrating effect.
